Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am thrilled to inform you that Castle Rock Elementary will be embarking on a special adventure on April 8th to witness the solar eclipse at The Rock. It's a rare and wonderful opportunity for our students to observe this natural phenomenon! We are so fortunate to have such easy access to The Rock.
Here are the details for the day:

Grade levels will enjoy lunch at 11:00 before departing from the school after 11:30. Students should pack a lunch on this day. If you would prefer a school lunch on this day. Please click on this link.

We aim to have our students at The Rock for optimal eclipse viewing by 12:40.

Castle Rock Elementary will provide all students with approved glasses for safely viewing the eclipse.

Students will return to school by 1:45, concluding this exciting experience.

As you are probably already aware, students at CRE frequently climb the rock throughout their years. We will work with the city to ensure access to The Rock for our students with physical disabilities. However, if you like to opt your student out of climbing The Rock to view the eclipse, please fill out this form.
